Sometimes, the best way to quiet the mind isn’t by sitting still, but by moving with awareness. At Open Sky Oasis, we don’t see work and meditation as two separate things. Here, in the sun-drenched landscape of Denia, we practice Karma Yoga—the simple, profound act of selfless service.
We offer a unique opportunity to join a meditation retreat with work exchange, often described as a Workaway-style experience in Spain—yet rooted in a deeper intention: bringing awareness into action.
The Practice: What You’ll Be Doing
We don’t believe in “busy work.” The tasks here are about maintaining a high-vibration environment for everyone who visits. As a volunteer, your presence is woven into the daily life of the center. Volunteers practice 6 hours of karma yoga daily, 3 hours in the morning, 3 hours in the afternoon. Your tasks could include:
The Mediterranean Garden: Pruning, planting, and tending to the soil in quiet corners of our impressive garden and handyman tasks
The Pond: Caring for our water feature, a central point of reflection and peace with fish and turtles
Kitchen: Preparing meals with our cook for the community and guests
- The Seminar Centre: Helping prepare the Oasis and its rooms and meditation hall for our retreats and guests.

A Sanctuary Between the Mountain and the Sea
Our Oasis is tucked away in a spectacular corner of Spain. To one side, the rugged peaks of the Montgó National Park rise up; to the other, the Mediterranean Sea stretches toward the horizon.
We are a small, quiet, and loving community – a growing sanctuary dedicated to the search for Truth. This makes the Oasis the perfect setting for a personal retreat, where you can contribute to the energy of the space while finding your own inner rhythm.

What we offer
Karma Yoga at Open Sky Oasis in Spain
You can come anytime as a Karma Yogi and live with our community at Open Sky Oasis.
In exchange for 6 hours of contribution per day, you join our daily rhythm of morning yoga and three meditations, share a room, and enjoy three vegetarian meals with the community.
Bicycles are available, the Mediterranean beach is only 3 minutes walk away, and the Oasis offers a large swimming pool and a beautiful tropical palm tree garden.

8 – 9 am: Yoga and Meditation
9 am: Breakfast
9:45 am: Morning Meeting
10 am – 1 pm: Karma Yoga
1:30 – 2 pm: Meditation
2 pm: Lunch
4 – 7 pm: Karma Yoga
8pm: Silent Dinner
Cost:
There is a cost of 70€, only for the first week of Volunteering.
We ask for an advance payment after your registration process is complete.
You can stay for free after having stayed one week.
